Fellow South Africans need to know that people are actually moving back to South Africa. After more than 2 years in Australia we are moving back and there are others like us - 3 other families who all have been here longer than us just in our circle of friends. It was a privilege to be able to have done this but there is no place like home. Do not be fooled by South Africans abroad boasting about how good it is. Most of them are still trying to convince themselves daily that they made the right decision. Most say they would like to go back and others are either too embarrassed (for what reason I do not know) or too stubborn to admit that they would love to go back. It is really not soooo much better here as they would like folks back home to believe. Sort out crime in SA and there is really nothing better! Many are led to believe service, schooling and medical care are better (in Australia) - not true. We were back in SA less than 2 weeks ago, bought another house and cannot wait to be back at the end of the year.  We get a lot of overseas news here and believe me same sh…. different country. South Africans must stop thinking that negative things only happen in SA — not true.
