Youth Day in Hankey
Hankey is a small town in Eastern Cape Province, 90 minutes west of Port Elizabeth on the Gamtoos River. Sarah Baartman, the so-called “Hottentot Venus”, is buried on a hill above the town. IMC’s Simon Barber paid a visit one Saturday in June when the community was celebrating Youth Day. He took these pictures.
