Bloggers Wanted
We are looking for bloggers with a sense of fun who are interested in telling the world about the South Africa they live in and love. Not the South Africa of newspaper headlines or anxiety-inducing television documentaries, but the South Africa you are proud to be a part of and which you wish the world understood a little better than it sometimes seems to.
Brandsouthafricablog.com offers you a platform to show off your talent to the world while at the same time showing the world what South Africa is really made of.
We are not looking for thousands of words. A good blog post need be little more than a paragraph or two if it has something interesting to say and says it well. And it doesn’t just have to be words. We can publish just about anything here if it’s in digital format. It could be a picture, sound clip or video from your cellphone camera or any other device.
Subject matter? Write about what you know best which is probably yourself and your friends, family, neighbourhood and work. Got an anecdote that illustrates what you love about South Africa? Share it. Got a wonderful grandmother who embodies what is best about this country? Give us a thumbnail sketch. Did someone or something inspire you today or make you say wow or cool? Spread the inspiration.
If you want to rant against politicians or otherwise illustrate a conviction that everything is going to hell in a hand basket, then this is probably not your platform. We don’t deny for a moment that South Africa faces challenges, plenty of them, but we are much more interested in how they are being dealt with and overcome.
The ultimate test of a good blog post is to ask yourself: would you want to read it if someone else had written it and would it make you want to come back for more?
