Amazwi

We’re looking for new voices. Yours. And we have made it even easier for you to share yours with us and the world.

We have created a new site using a blogging platform called Tumblr.  We are calling it Amazwi, which is isiZulu for voices. All you have to do is click here and you will be taken to a form where you can submit blog posts in a variety of different formats — text, photos, a link with a title and perhaps a description that you supply, a quote and its source, or even the embed code for a video you posted on a site like You Tube or Zoopy.

We’ll be moderating posts to make sure you look your best so don’t get upset if your submission doesn’t go live instantaneously. We’ll do our best to get it online as quickly as possible.

As soon as it goes online, a link to it will automatically appear on the Brand SA twitter stream and the Brand South Africa log Facebook page. Some may wonder posting to Amazwi is a different to writing on our Facebook wall. The answer is very simple: our tumblelog,  to give it its technical name, gives you much more scope to express yourself.
If this experiment is successful, Amazwi will become a sort of South African scrapbook, lovingly assembled by South Africans and anyone else who thinks South Africa is cool and who wants to help tell its story.
