Coming to your living room carpet: Bafana vs. Mexico in 3D
With just 155 days and 9 hours left till the Fifa 2010 World Cup, more interesting news was released. ESPN announced on Tuesday that June 11th marks their launch of ESPN 3D, which coincides with the Bafana vs. Mexico game.
Basically, once you have all the gear and equipment needed, you only have to put on your 3D glasses to turn your living room into a virtual soccer field. With the launch happening on the same day as a South Africa game and it being a world first, that translates to even more possibilities for us.
As examined in more detail by Wired here, there might be some barriers to you viewing the games in your own home. With fan parks being built across the African continent and the 32 countries participating in the World Cup this experience can be shared with even more people.
This being the first of its of kind, you can be sure even more people in the world will be watching and talking. You will be able to see the stars almost sprinting toward you, taking the game to a whole new level.

My imagination is running wild with thoughts of, Chuck Norris round-house kicking the baddies, in my lounge. Ooh, Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider…….Nice!
Pity about the nerdy looking glasses though, invite a girl around for a movie and try score with those things on.
this is soooo cool! i want!!
