Invincibly in love with SA

elephantRudy Maxa is one of American’s best known travel writers and broadcasters. Among other things he does a show for public television called Rudy Maxa’s World. He was in South Africa a year ago shooting episodes for the current season. He and his crew had an unfortunate experience involving ATM scam artists. Rudy spoke about it in this interview — click on the Zoopy controls below — with Washington radio host Kojo Nnamde when he got back. It didn’t diminish his enthusiasm for SA one bit. Sadly, Rudy’s show, along with the SA episodes,is on ice at the moment. To be broadcast on public television in the US you need corporate underwriters, and these have been hanging back this year because of the recession.
